Project: Stadskantoor Middelburg

There has been much new development in the area around the Middelburg’s rail station but the jewel in the crown is the new City Hall. The building evokes the shape of a ship, symbolising the region’s close ties with the sea and has established itself as one of the city’s main attractions. Quite apart from its architectural novelty the building offers a pleasant working environment for city government and employees as well as public meeting places. The City Hall also features several energy saving features in its design.
