betoShell®flex

betoShell®flex is the universally applicable betoShell® GRC cladding option with regard to dimensions and the choice of substructure. This excellent façade panel, which has a thickness of only 40 mm, can be produced in a variety of dimensions.

Example: Performa Nord project, Bremen

betoShell®flex proved to be the only reasonable cladding solution for the energy-efficient renovation of the Performa Nord administration building.

After removing the old prefabricated façade panels, considerable dimensional deviations and surface irregularities were discovered on the in-situ concrete surface, which, of course, presented problems with regard to mounting. The originally planned supporting structure could only have been realised with a considerable additional expenditure of time and effort due to necessary surface concrete renovations. betoShell®flex provided an ideal mounting alternative that was able to meet the prevailing technical construction requirements. Thus, the entire façade, as well as the suspended ceilings, could be fitted with beige and bronze coloured betoShell® elements, covering a surface area of around 1800m².

betoShell® GRC cladding

betoShell® is a textile-reinforced and consequently slim and lightweight concrete facade that meets the highest quality standards. The textile-reinforced concrete elements are just 2-4 cm thick, and offer an almost infinite range of design possibilities.

Suitable for facade renovation, wall cladding and new buildings

The textile fibreglass reinforcement of the elements and the special concrete recipe enable extremely high flexural, tensile and impact strengths to be reached. Due to these properties, betoShell® is ideally suited for energetic facade renovations, as well as for new buildings and for cladding walls in public spaces such as pedestrian underpasses. Moreover, the betoShell® production process is extremely environmentally friendly. The ongoing development of betoShell® has resulted in a large number of new variants, with Hering now able to manufacture betoShell® elements in the betoShell®Classic, betoShell®BIG and betoShell®XXL sizes.
