Hering toilet facilities for BahnhofCityVienna West

After extensive redevelopment operations, which were carried out between September 2008 and November 2011, the former Wiener Westbahnhof station was opened on the 23rd of November, 2011, as the new BahnhofCity Wien West.



With this redevelopment, the ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railway) has set yet another milestone in the modernisation of heavily frequented railway stations in Austria. The new BahnhofCity Wien West is, however, much more than a mere railway station – it combines travel, shopping and workplaces through the integration of a complete shopping centre. An office and shopping centre was created on a total area of 30,000 m², 17,000 m² is used as sales floor for 90 shops, catering and service providing businesses. Integrated within the complex are two toilet facilities made by Hering for travellers and customers of the shopping centre.



The design of the toilet facilities is customer-friendly and spacious. Hering has concluded an agreement with ÖBB regarding the operation of these toilet facilities. We have integrated a number of features in this construction. Since the 23rd of November, 2011, the responsibility for the smooth and customer-oriented operation of these toilet facilities lies in our hands.



Cleaning is performed by staff who constantly attend the facilities. We are proud to have played a part in ensuring that the development of BahnhofCity Wien West has become a success story.
