Follow-up report Burbach

A school was abuzz

On the occasion of  World Toilet Day on 19.11.2008, Hering started a campaign which has never been seen before in this form. One of the “2U” urinals was erected in the school yard and students could inspect this during their break.

The idea was that students should concern themselves with the subject of sanitary hygiene and become conscious of the fact that more than 2.5 billion people have to live without appropriate sanitary installations. This, of course, also results in health disadvantages etc.
The students were asked to participate actively by way of a questionnaire and to give an opinion about how school toilets should be designed. Hering would like to concern itself in the future, together with the schools, with the development of the special school toilet. A first step could be the campaign at the Realschule in Burbach.
