Intermodula®
Metropolitan railway platforms
Intermodula® is the logical continuation of the modular concept of modula®. These are prefabricated stopping points, which can be used in combination by buses and trams.
In addition to the prefabricated system designed in a modular system as a precast flat slab with a high-quality cover surface with texture and an integrated guide system for visually impaired persons with selectable foundations, the modular system also includes edging elements with a semicircular layout and a suitable platform roof pre-assembled in large sections.
Access ramps suitable for disabled users can also be supplied as an option. The high degree of prefabrication enables a short construction period on site. The assembly can often even take place without any hindrance to operation or in short closure breaks.
The Dresdner Combibord platform edge was developed by the transport services in Dresden and is subject to industrial property rights. Hering has acquired these rights of use under licence for Intermodula®. The special contour prevents the protruding rims of the bus wheels and the bodywork from being able to come into contact with the platform. Wheel impact loads are moved into the subsurface by means of spurs cast onto the prefabricated part.
