Raising existing platforms type 4
Existing island platforms or side platforms of conventional designs can also be raised using our precast platform system. Depending on the function, condition of the existing platforms and location, different possible solutions are available here.
- Building the new system platform over the existing platform, as an option also without destroying the old platform (for temporary platforms)
- Basing the new system platform on new separate foundations in individual areas or completely in the case of the partial dismantling of the existing platform, or supporting on the old edge of the platform
- Complete renewal in the case of a decaying existing platform
Advantages:
The platform can be raised in sections (also at night) during the period when services are not running and is in each case ready for use again when services are resumed. Other advantages are as described under system platform type modula®.
Modules:
- Separate foundations in cast-in-situ concrete or as prefabricated part
- Precast concrete unit slabs in standard length: 6.00 m and standard width: 3.00 m
- One-piece or multipart over complete platform width
Options:
- Distance elements for subsequent lowering
- Drainage system
- The centre of the platform in the case of island platforms can also be conventional
