GFRC textile reinforced cladding panels

The installation of the sandwich and curtain wall elements at the newly constructed public library in the town centre of Almere has meanwhile been completed, the majority of the windows have been fitted and work on the interior of the building is progressing.

The property designed by the Dutch architects Meyer en Van Schooten will now be equipped with a total of 3.500 m² of GFRC betoShell® panels in various areas of the building.

The betoShell® system will be used in the conventional way as façade panels but also as ceiling cladding and as roofing skin. On the roof itself which has various inclinations of up to 30°, the elements will be fixed on an aluminium sub-structure. The formulation for the concrete of the betoShell® panels has been matched to the sandwich and curtain wall elements to ensure that the façade has a uniform appearance.
