The DEUBAU, which is held every two years, took place from the 10th till the 14th of January at the exhibition centre in Essen and marked the building industry’s opening event. 600 exhibitors from 15 nations were represented on the platform for architects and the residential construction industry. Thus, over 55,000 visitors were presented a wide range of innovative products and services for the building industry. Concrete is, of course, a central theme within this environment. At the 150 square metre stand of BetonMarketing West GmbH, a variety of themes were presented, which illustrate the versatile range of applicability provided by concrete in the area of building construction. A variety of information material and numerous exhibits on the theme of concrete were presented to visitors at the stand.
Thus, betoShell® textile-reinforced concrete façades made by Hering were also presented at the exhibition in Essen. Both large and small sample elements with a wide range of colours and surface finishes were presented as special eye catchers on the theme of fair-faced concrete. Visitors were particularly impressed by the amazing versatility provided by the surface designs of architectural concrete. These design elements combined with a betoShell® façade panel of only 2 cm thickness provide architects, planners and building owners a diverse range of new architectural possibilities and also meet the growing demand for future-oriented and sustainable construction.
