"60t steel on the hook" – auxiliary bridge assembly in Diez

In March 2019, Hering Bahnbau GmbH commissioned by LEONHARD WEISS GmbH & Co. KG erected two auxiliary railway bridges weighing up to 104 tons for the construction of a road tunnel in Diez. A SWR TV team was on site with the camera and accompanied one of the exciting night shifts with two of the Hering railway slewing cranes. The temporary complete closure of the Diez to the Fachingen train line posed a particular challenge, which crane operator Karsten Ballmann and the client's site management mastered with flying colours.
