Promotion of young talent is a top priority at the Bundesliga club from Stuttgart. Therefore, a new training centre for the youth team was established overlooking the stadium of the premiere league team. In addition to 17 cabins and a large gym for the youth, there are several meeting and presentation rooms as well as PC workstations for trainers and consultants in the new centre area.
The players, who cannot get enough of football even between workouts, can spend their free time on the artificial turf in the courtyard. When lining the façade, 'asp' architects from Stuttgart have chosen anthracite betoShell® FLEX40 elements with an acid-washed surface. Due to its reinforcement, the composite textile reinforced concrete is suitable for the aesthetic as well as the technical requirements of the architects. betoShell® achieved very good results in the stress test for impact resistance, so that even in challenging areas such as on artificial turf, the façade system can be used. The dark elements contrast with the red slat construction which protects the glass façade on the upper floors.
The new training centre fits perfectly into its VfB Stuttgart dominated surroundings, and offers the youth teams optimal training conditions.
