CO2-Reduced Concrete for Prefabricated Platform Used for the First Time

In Howald, Luxembourg, our HERING Systeme team is setting new standards in platform construction. On behalf of Société Momentanée LUXGIOLUX, we took on the planning, production, and delivery of two state-of-the-art prefabricated platforms of the modula® Type 1|1b model. The project includes an island platform with an impressive length of approximately 307 meters per platform.

The highlight: the first-ever use of our CO2-reduced concrete SUS.con. By utilizing this sustainable material, we significantly reduced CO2 emissions. Compared to a conventional prefabricated platform of the same type, at least 28.31 tons of CO2 were saved—a remarkable reduction of 26%.
