Conclusion: InnoTrans 2022 – industry summit for rail transport and mobility

The leading international trade fair for transport technology was at last able to take place again this autumn after the pandemic-enforced break of four years.
Exhibitors and trade visitors from all over the world met face-to-face again in the German capital to swap the latest industry news from 20 to 23 September 2022.

The railway industry from across the globe came together again for in-person meetings

The four-day trade fair was well received by both exhibitors and visitors. A total of 2,834 exhibitors from 56 countries presented the entire range of products and services for the mobility industry at the Berlin exhibition centre, which, by the way, was totally booked out. Also there: 250 world premières, 128 vehicles and 14 buses.
A total of 137,394 international trade show visitors from 131 countries travelled to the German capital to discover more about the industry's unique range of products and services.

There were just as many participants as in 2018 in spite of the fact that Chinese exhibitors were less present than four years ago and that there were no Russian exhibitors in attendance at all.

HERING also, of course, took part as an exhibitor

HERING Systeme employees welcomed top-notch visitors in the very busy Hall 25 to swap the latest news about developments in the field of system platforms, system roofs and noise-abatement solutions.

The specialists from HERING Bahnbau also enjoyed many face-to-face discussions about the activities in the track- and civil-engineering sectors and the fields of large-scale rail-bound machinery and logistics.

I was initially concerned that the fair might be cancelled again – and that far fewer visitors might turn up. But just the opposite was the case: The trade fair was a great success! It was very well attended, high-ranking visitors from the Deutsche Bahn’s management and from engineering firms came to see us at our stand. The industry seems to be grateful that face-to-face meetings could at last take place again.

Track-foundation-laying train as a global innovation: The T04/55 outdoor track at Kirow was the place where visitors were able to marvel at the track-foundation-laying train that will enter service for HERING in spring 2023. The track-foundation-laying train is a new rail-mounted drilling and piling rig, which was developed by Kirow and Bauer for HERING Bahnbau.

Effective surface coating: Sensitivity and awareness for high hygiene standards has increased, particularly as a result of the covid pandemic, which is why HERING Sanikonzept GmbH presented the very effective protect & clean® surface coatings as well as HERING’s own anti-graffiti coating.

Traditionally, the Wednesday evening, is the so-called organisers’ evening and it once again turned out to be a very lively event. The fun party at the HERING stand, powered by music by the dedicated DJ, continued into the night.

This was my first time at the InnoTrans and I was really impressed. The trade fair was huge and very interesting. Many trade visitors came to see us – we had very good, professional discussions and were able to make high-quality business contacts.
