In the EMAS verification audit, companies must prove that they meet the high EMAS requirements with regard to energy efficiency, occupational safety and environmental management and that the concepts on which they are based are reliably implemented and documented.
These were precisely the findings of the external audit carried out at HERING at the beginning of October. In the course of a two-day review by the external assessor, Mr Günter Jungblut, all relevant areas, procedures and documents were scrutinised. The conclusion reached in the final discussion was hardly surprising, but as simple as it was convincing: no deviations were found and nothing stands in the way of our company continuing to be entered in the EMAS register.
