Excellent and award-winning WC facilities in Xanten

Great importance was afforded to barrier-free access during the construction of HERING Sanikonzept GmbH’s modern city WC facilities for the Nord- & Südsee leisure centre in Xanten. That’s why all toilets boast features catering to the disabled in compliance with DIN 18040. One toilet was even realised as a ‘Toilet for All’ to meet the requirements set out by Stiftung Leben pur (Pure Life Foundation).

The facilities have now also been awarded the nationally recognised ‘Reisen für Alle’ (‘Travel for All’) seal of approval. It is used to inform travellers about the accessibility, usability and condition of premises before they start their holidays. It allows them to make sure that they’re able to use a location’s WC facilities without encountering any barriers. The certification process primarily considers criteria for people with walking disabilities and wheelchair users, for people with hearing disabilities and the deaf, for people with visual impairments and the blind as well as for people with cognitive impairments.
