The whole world of architecture – this is the motto for the Iconic Awards, a set of architectural awards which are presented annually by the German Design Council. The German Design Council, which is the prestigious organiser of the awards, is renowned for its many years of experience and supreme expertise: Over many decades the German Design Council has established itself as a centre of excellence for design on the international stage with a wide range of congresses, conferences and seminars and as the organiser of an array of different competitions. Architects, planners and their partners in industry can compete for the Iconic Awards in five main categories.
Hering was also nominated for the Iconic Awards 2015 with its new Hering Architectural Concrete brand, and was successful! The new presentation for facades made of architectural concrete now carries the distinction of Winner 2015 in the Communication category. The official award ceremony will take place at the Pinakothek der Moderne art museum to mark the Expo Real trade fair in Munich in October 2015.
As an award-winner in the Iconic Awards, Hering is nominated for another award presented by the German Design Council: the German Design Award 2016. Just the nomination in its own right is an honour because the strict nomination procedure means that only the best design projects and their designers get the chance to compete for the award. The announcement of the award will take place in September.
