Only manufacturers who are able to demonstrate during an extensive appraisal process that their products and manufacturing processes meet all the demands that the Deutsche Bahn makes on quality, safety and reliability are recognised in this way.
The manufacturers themselves apply for this appraisal process to be initiated. HERING Bau GmbH & Co. KG submitted its application last autumn and was granted the HPQ for the production of modular platforms in accordance with DB Station&Service AG’s specifications.
The review process also included an on-site audit by DB as well as the submission and analysis of all documents and certifications relevant to design and production.
Certification granted
This was all worthwile: The HERING Bau GmbH & Co. KG could fulfil the requirements and has been certified by German Railways with the HPQ-certificate.
