In Olpe, the employees of HERING Bahnbau literally went to work "full speed ahead" on the night of 24 November 2018. The HERING KRC400 rail-mounted crane was also used.
A 53-hour break was available for the installation of four small auxiliary bridges including pile driving work. Despite difficult conditions, such as icy temperatures and slippery ground, the small auxiliary bridges were erected in just 12 hours! The tamping and cleaning work was completed on time - three hours before the planned commissioning.
As a result, the contract was completed to the complete satisfaction of the client, DB NETZ AG, and the tracks were reported free and passable during the night of 26 November 18.
The HERING team has once again proven its great competence in demanding railway construction projects.
