In Köln-Nippes the nation’s most modern facility for the maintenance of high-speed trains is being newly constructed with an investment volume of approx. € 220 m. That makes it the largest self-funded DB FV AG project.
Together with the company Wolff+Müller from Holzwickede, Hering has Main Construction Section 8 under contract: In total, 47 points, 32 tracks with a total length of 15,409 m need to be rebuilt. On top of that comes the entire earth and cable civil engineering on a stretch totalling 11,100 m.
The work will be undertaken from November 2015 to December 2016.
