We think that it’s important to protect the environment and that’s why HERING is increasingly switching to electric vehicles. It’s how we’re contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions. HERING has developed a station for charging its vehicles that helps protect the environment in two ways: Our vehicles are environmentally friendly and the charging station is manufactured from recycled concrete on site at HERING’s plant for prefabricated components. One of these charging stations – which is able to charge several vehicles at once – has been installed at our am Neuländer company car park in Burbach-Holzhausen.
Mineral construction waste is processed and used as concrete aggregate to make the recycled concrete. HERING’s charging stations feature washed and acidified surfaces and, at a height of 2.15 metres, require a footprint of just 1.29 square metres.
Two more stations are soon to be manufactured at HERING’s plant for prefabricated components.
