New rail & fresh facility for the long-distance railway station at Düsseldorf Airport

A new rail & fresh facility has been built at Düsseldorf Airport’s long-distance railway station, offering travellers and visitors a modern and clean WC experience. The facility was opened on 27 August 2024. The rail & fresh facility is divided into different areas to meet the needs of all users. A total of six WC cubicles are available in the ladies’ section. The men’s section contains three WC cubicles and four urinals for the male visitors to the station. A nappy-changing area, which is particularly useful for parents with small children, is also available and may be used regardless of gender. There’s also a barrier-free unisex cubicle for use by people with physical disabilities, which has been fitted out with special equipment to make it easier to use.

The rail & fresh facility is accessed through modern speed gates, which control visitor entry and ensure proper use. These gates have been designed for quick and uncomplicated use. Particularly noteworthy is the fact that the facility offers a variety of payment options: Payment may be made with or without cash, which significantly increases convenience for visitors.

Cleaning staff are on hand every day to ensure that the facility remains clean and its high quality is maintained. They make sure for several hours each day that the WC facilities are thoroughly cleaned so that visitors are always welcomed by a clean and hygienic environment. The new rail & fresh facility at Düsseldorf Airport’s long-distance railway station provides travellers with a modern and well-equipped sanitation solution that meets the highest of standards.
