New sanitary facilities opened at Munich subway station

Since April, underground travellers and commuters have been able to look forward to Thalkirchen: After extensive conversion and renovation work, Hering Sanikonzept GmbH opened the new WC facility at the Thalkirchen underground station in Munich on 4 April 2019 together with Leben Pur Foundation.

In addition to a ladies' and a men's area, the approx. 50 square metre building has a "toilet for everyone", which was developed according to the concept of the Leben pur Foundation. With this special concept, people with complex disabilities can also participate in public life again. The handicapped-accessible room is equipped with a height-adjustable care couch and a person lift, with which it is possible to move from the wheelchair to the couch.
