Official Opening: New Inclusive Public Toilet Facility at Bavariaring in Munich

As part of the major urban development project “München26”, a state-of-the-art and inclusive public toilet facility was officially opened at Bavariaring – just steps away from the famous Theresienwiese.

The new facility features a gender-neutral (unisex) toilet as well as a specially designed “Toilet for All”, tailored to the needs of people with multiple disabilities and their assistants. We are particularly proud that this “Toilet for All” has been awarded the quality seal of the “Leben PUR” Foundation, marking an important step toward greater accessibility and inclusion in public spaces.

Another highlight is the newly installed public drinking water fountain, part of a city-wide sustainability initiative. Munich is thus promoting free access to clean drinking water, underscoring its commitment to environmental awareness and sustainable urban infrastructure.

The opening also received media coverage: Munich TV aired a short report on the facility, now available in their media library – definitely worth watching!
