After the successful engine replacement, our locomotive BR 218 “Hartmut” is fully operational again and has already proven its performance in the Black Forest. Between 27 October and 4 November, we supported Schweerbau with works between Donaueschingen and Schwenningen, where tracks and switches were renewed.
Our task: construction site logistics. Originally, a round-the-clock operation was planned, but a defect on a construction machine led to several shifts being cancelled.
Nevertheless, our teams made full use of the remaining working window — from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. — to deliver strong performance and demonstrate how reliably HERING Bahndienste operates, even under changing conditions.
