Planning textile-reinforced concrete façades with BIM

Everyone is currently talking about Building Information Modelling (BIM) – be it in trade journals, at seminars or in exchanges of ideas between colleagues in the industry, THE innovation in building planning is on everyone's lips.

We as a manufacturer are also adding such planning tools to our range of services. We've been supporting architects and specialist planners in the development of individual façade solutions while taking construction and design aspects into account for many years. The BIM method employs intelligent component families to facilitate the process. That is why we have turned to our façade systems' Revit models and have supplemented the BIM method with such object attributes as possible element formats, reinforcement varieties and the positioning of fastening points. The various finishing design options have also been incorporated to assist visualisation. This means that planners are already able to define the basic requirements for façades while they are still in the design planning phase and at the same time use the BIM model to verify which façade systems are able to meet demands.

The component families within our textile-reinforced betoShell® range of façades are available as .rvt files that may now be requested free of charge from info@remove-this.hering-ac.com.
