A new residential district with everything the heart could wish for is being built in Hamburg Neugraben: Parks, kindergartens and direct access to the railway station through an underpass. But that’s not where the innovation stops. This quarter is not only being laid out to meet functional needs, it’s also following an aesthetic design. The artist ‘1010’ from Switzerland was, for example, commissioned to put the finishing touches to the 550 square metres of the underpass. The aim is to create a timeless eye-catcher. But art alone is not enough.
We were tasked with protecting the surface against graffiti to ensure that the work of art can be preserved for a long time to come. The work is already in full swing and we can’t wait to see the final result.
