According to the motto “clean and safe” ZüriWC, an owner-operated municipal enterprise, is operating 107 public toilet facilities in the municipal area. Hering has already been partner to the city of Zurich since 2000 and had already installed some toilet facilities that are also maintained by us. Due to the increasing requirements and latest developments, it became a fact in 2012: We must develop and construct a multi-functional module.
Since 2006, the city has exclusively used our seat cleaning modules, 80% of which are installed into existing buildings. In 2014, ZüriWC could then inspect our development of the multi-functional module in our plant in Burbach. The subsequent plant tour topped the visit off. And thus, in 2015, we were awarded the contract to build a multi-functional module and a module for handicapped persons each at the two locations of station Binz and Neumünsterpark.
While the complete modules could be inserted at the location Binz, the modules had to be installed on-site in Neumünster since the building is under monumental protection. The modules were handed over and commissioned in April.
