Rail platform roof "Bodenheim light" for the Schweinfurt main train station

Construction and on-going operations – both can go hand in hand perfectly well when the majority of the construction process takes place in another location and before operations. That is, in fact, the case with the Hering “Bodenheim light” platform system.

In August and September of this year, in the Schweinfurt main train station the type “Bodenheim light” train-platform roofs, which had been mostly pre-assembled ahead of time, were installed track by track while the adjacent tracks were still in operation.
