Redefining Sustainability: betoShell® by HERING

Sustainability in construction is more important than ever! With HERING's betoShell® facade panel, we are setting new benchmarks in CO2 reduction, resource efficiency, and recycling.

betoShell®

Minimal CO2 Footprint

Thanks to an optimized cement composition and the use of low-carbon Portland limestone cement (CEM II/A-LL), betoShell®FLEX30 reduces greenhouse gas emissions to just 13 kg CO2-eq./m². Compared to conventional facade systems, betoShell® impresses with an outstanding environmental balance across raw material sourcing, transport, and production. Additionally, its lightweight design helps reduce energy consumption during installation.

Sustainable Production with Regional Resources

At HERING, we prioritize regional raw materials and eco-friendly energy sources. Production is powered by in-house photovoltaic systems and a sustainable wood chip heating system, while short transport routes for raw materials further reduce emissions.

Less Waste, More Efficiency

With custom-fit production, material offcuts are minimized. Any concrete leftovers are recycled, ensuring valuable raw materials remain within the production cycle.

Recycling for a Sustainable Future

betoShell® facade panels are designed for selective deconstruction, allowing for efficient recycling. A study conducted by RWTH Aachen University confirms that glass textile reinforcements are harmless to health and can be recycled effectively.
With betoShell®, HERING is making a strong statement for sustainable construction. We are excited to introduce this innovative highlight for the betoShell® facade system.
