On two consecutive weekends in mid-October several track construction crews from Burbach were busy renewing two sets of points in Wetzlar goods yard and another two at Wetzlar station. In total, four sets of points and connections were preassembled and reconstructed.
During the second weekend, in particular, the Hering work crews had to cope with last-minute changes of plan time and again as the new Friedberg electronic interlocking system came into operation the same weekend, causing line closures all around our construction site.
Thanks to the great personal efforts of the workers we deployed as well as our subcontractors we were still able to completely conclude our work on the construction site.
