Renovation of office building in Cologne city centre with architectural concrete elements

The Schildergasse in Cologne city centre is known nationwide for its numerous shopping facilities. Beautifully designed display windows entice tourists. The overall impression of a building however also contributes, even unconsciously, to the attractiveness of the business. This is why the façade was renovated during the summer for house number 120.

The existing facade had to be secured with nets; renovation was desperately overdue. The Hering Architectural Concrete team provided and installed in total about 600 m² of white architectural concrete facade with acid treated surfaces. The elements were fixed by way of brackets on the shell construction, which had to be installed before the new windows could be fitted.

In the end, the work was completed on time and the businesses were able to re-open.
