Rudolstadt – listed building with built-in WC

The small town of Rudolstadt in the state of Thuringia is impressive for its cultural heritage, its musical diversity and, above all, its historic architecture. Visitors enjoying the guided tours of the town have only been missing one thing so far: a modern and hygienic public convenience.

The municipality opted for a built-in WC by HERING Sanikonzept that would fit into the townscape. It was realised in a listed building that was formerly a brewery. There are four WC cubicles, including one cubicle with three urinals, two unisex cubicles and one barrier-free cubicle there today. The facility has also been protected inside and out with our protect & clean® anti-graffiti system.
