Seal of approval for ‘Toilet for everyone’ in Munich’s Hirschgarten

HERING Sanikonzept GmbH’s inclusive toilet facility at the Hirschgarten in Munich was recently awarded the official seal of approval from the Stiftung Leben pur (Pure Life Foundation). The Hirschgarten in the west of the city is one of the most popular destinations for Munich’s residents. Paths to stroll along, barbecue and green areas, playgrounds, toboggan hills, skate parks and a beer garden invite visitors to spend time there. The ‘Toilet for Everyone‘ has now made it possible for people with complex disabilities and greater care needs to also spend some care-free time at the Hirschgarten.

It’s more 12 square metres in size and is located between the ‘Street’ skating facility and the barbecue area. The facility is open for access with a Euro WC key every day from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. It meets all the requirements for a barrier-free toilet that have been set out in DIN-18040. It’s also equipped with a fold-up, height-adjustable nursing couch, an overhead hoist and an airtight waste bin for the odourless disposal of incontinence pads.
