SONO STOP.® – mobile noise barrier passes wind-load tests

HERING’s innovative noise barrier has now passed the final milestone in its testing process. The SONO STOP.® mobile noise barrier was put through its paces in three tests that were carried out by MFPA Leipzig GmbH on 27 and 28 June 2022.

Test Report No. PB 2.1/22-109-1 dated 29 June 2022, issued by MFPA Leipzig GmbH (Gesellschaft für Materialforschung und Prüfungsanstalt für das Bauwesen Leipzig mbH), describes the test subject as follows:

1. Determination of the absorbable wind loads in accordance with DIN EN 1794-1:20011 Appendix A
2. Investigation of the SONO STOP.® barrier for dynamic loads as a result of snow removal
3. Testing of resistance to stone impact

The photo below shows how the absorbable load or wind load is determined.
Results: Absorbable wind load: 3.00 kN/m²
