Temporary platforms for the major Rhein-Ruhr-Express project in Friedrichsfeld

Two temporary platforms were built in two construction phases of five days each at the Vörde-Friedrichsfeld station for MTB GmbH and DB Netz AG Duisburg in May and June 2018.The station is located on the Oberhausen-Emmerich line and is part of the major RRX (Rhein-Ruhr-Express) 5 / outer branches project. Hering's temporary platforms had become necessary as a result of the planned increase in the height of an island platform and its extension. Elements for the two 215-metre long temporary platforms, some of which were specially constructed, were delivered by truck and rail freight.
