Track construction work in Mannheim

HERING Gleisbau was active at both the Mannheim marshalling yard and the Mannheim collecting yard on the weekends during November:

A total of 1,000 metres of sleepers were renewed at the marshalling yard using a mobile gravel cleaning system. The work also included the installation of nine points, five of which were installed in trenches. Around 300 metres of track were also laid, with tamping and welding, at the same time over a period six days.

A total of nine points were renewed at the collecting yard in Käfertal. Three points were converted on each of the three weekends from Saturday to Monday when work was carried out from 8.00 p.m. to 4.00 a.m.

HERING Gleisbau (Track Construction) was supported in the execution of the work by its fleet of rail-mounted cranes, which was involved in the work and provided its active assistance.
