A significant step forward for the BOOSTER Project: the first OPV demonstrator has been successfully installed on the façade of a multi-storey car park at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg.

The installation features a 35 m² organic photovoltaic (OPV) façade, specifically developed for real-world performance monitoring. The aim is to transform existing buildings into energy-generating structures.

Module design & façade integration precisely tailored to the building’s structure
Overall design, technical system development, and both electrical & mechanical implementation by ASCA
Module manufacturing by ASCA using a green donor polymer from Raynergy Tek Incorporation
Installation & monitoring by FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg – performance data will be collected for at least one year

With this installation, the project takes a major step closer to its goal of combining architecture with renewable energy and driving the energy transition in the building sector.
