Two new WCs installed at service stations in NRW (Northrhine-Westphalia)

HERING Sanikonzept has installed two new WCs at service stations on the A3 ‘Sülztal’ and the A44 ‘Hellweg Süd’ autobahns. This was the first time that the company, which is based in Burbach, acted as the general contractor for Straßen NRW as the client and handled all aspects of work that ranged from the receipt of the order to the handing over the keys.

Each of the facilities feature one room with two urinals, three unisex cubicles with an additional squat WC and a barrier-free cubicle. The toilet bowls and urinals were realised in ceramics that feature easy-care Keratect coatings. The Urifloor system – a self-cleaning floor basin – was installed beneath the urinals. The wash basins were all realised in stainless steel and fitted into the walls as a vandalism-proofing measure. Water, soap and hand drying are all provided at the touch of a button to facilitate hygiene. The size of the new building and its modern facade that uses ceramics and roof with a zinc standing seam create a particularly impressive look.
