Villa on the Zurich mountain with ambitious architectural concrete shell

The Hering Architectural Concrete team is currently working on a project for a private investor in Zürich. The design for the building ensemble that includes a master house, service building and guesthouse comes from the Berlin architectural offices of David Chipperfield.

The large-scale architectural concrete elements were produced in recent months in our prefabricated concrete plant, with single pieces ranging up to 45 m².

The particularly refined look results from a subsequent sanding and acid treatment of the concrete surfaces. The building owner also wished for the roof to be clad with architectural concrete. With this in mind, we will be manufacturing another 1,800 m² of textile concrete roof tiles in the next few weeks. The buildings are expected to be completed by the spring
