In the popular holiday region of Warnemünde, for example, the company has built two more city toilets at beach entrances 1 and 3. One of the deciding factors was the positive experience already gained from identical facility at stairway 16. In addition to an extensive green roof, the two new City WC facilities are also equipped with several nesting boxes at the back of the building to provide a suitable breeding ground for sparrows.
From July, beachgoers will find three unisex cubicles in each of the toilet facilities, one of which is handicapped-accessible according to DIN 18040 for barrier-free construction and equipped with automatic seat cleaning. The sand-coloured Trespa façade blends in well with the dunes, is weatherproof and easy to clean. During the installation, a mobile construction road had to be laid so that the transport vehicles could drive over the partly unpaved subsoil to the beach accesses.
