Double sustainability is better - charging station for e-vehicles made of recycled concrete
Sustainable materials, processes and procedures are among the fundamental challenges of our time for the HERING Group. That is why we are consistently pursuing the goal of converting our vehicle fleet to environmentally friendly engines and drives and thus significantly reducing CO2 emissions. To achieve this goal, more e-charging stations will be needed in the future. In the summer of 2021, the first charging station made of recycled concrete (RC concrete) for electric vehicles was therefore installed in the company car park of the HERING Group.
The charging pole was produced with a washed and acidified surface and, at a height of 2.15 metres, only occupies a footprint of just 1.2 square metres and does not require any foundations. Up to three vehicles can be charged simultaneously at the charging pole.
