Fire and Emergency Services Station Langenfeld, DE

starkarchitekten, Siegen

Huge – and yet transparent and extremely clearly structured: The new main station for the fire and emergency services in Langenfeld is anything but ordinary. The U-shaped building succinctly combines functionality with modern architectural design.

This main station planned and designed by the Siegen-based starkarchitekten firm of architects features an absolute highlight: the white curtain wall with an acidified finish made with prefabricated concrete elements and a photo-concrete motif that were manufactured at HERING's plant for prefabricated concrete.

A total of 825 prefabricated elements were produced for a façade covering an area of 2,160 square metres. The façade for the main building was produced in white and given an acidified finish. The façade for the hose tower was given a fine washed finish in red.

A unique project with a very individual touch!
