Mobile wall elements SONO STOP.®

Reference project noise protection: Mobile noise barriers for Merzig

In Autumn 2018, a SONO STOP.® was realised and assembled in the city centre of Merzig, located in Saarland.  By order of DB Netz AG, Regional Sector West, a 60-metre-long and 4-metre-high wall was constructed. The Hering modular wall elements have a noise-absorbing effect and were installed with little effort and in a short period of time.

The wall elements, concrete bases, ground spikes and supports were delivered by truck. On 19-20 November 2018 the system was assembled by hand, in order to protect the residents in the vicinity of the Merzig railway station through mid-December 2018 from construction noise. The new development from Hering is a ground-breaking product with multi-faceted uses. Effective as per 11.12.2018, the German patent and brand office registered and protected the name SONO STOP.® .
