‘Blue Village’: An urban quarter as a green oasis with innovative protection against noise

The ‘Blue Village’ – an urban neighbourhood that presents itself as a green oasis in the midst of city life – is currently being realised in Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg. The project’s concept aims to combine a prime location with good transport links while, at the same time, enabling a life lived in harmony with nature. The noise-abatement solution that HERING has developed in conjunction with KOHLHAUER has been deployed, among others, to realise this idea.

Urban Protection Shield® is enabling a life lived in harmony with nature

The Urban Protection Shield® noise barrier is a harmonious addition to this modern and environmentally aware area that has now been made even more peaceful and quieter. The noise barrier’s height of around 14 metres and width of 18.5 metres meant that its installation also represented an exciting and demanding challenge.
