Material-conveying silo carriage with loading station / ballast-hopper carriage

Fast, available, modern and cost-efficient – HERING Bahnbau’s fleet includes six MFS38-series material-conveying silo carriages, a ballast-hopper carriage as well as a BLS 2000 loading station for optimum rail-mounted front loading and unloading as well as for transporting bulk materials and bedding materials. Lined up for large material quantities with motorised conveyor belts, largely automated spoil-loading system as well as swivelling transfer belts and autonomous power supply, our material-conveying silo carriages are able to allow railway operations to be continued normally even during loading with rail-road excavators or wheel loaders.

Efficient and quiet: ballast dumping

We are also able to provide our manually operated ballast-hopper carriage for track filling as well as for transport. Solo as a ballast-hopper carriage or in conjunction with a material-conveying silo unit – gravel can be safely, efficiently and quietly laid in the track as bottom ballast, top ballast or tamping ballast. Our Ballast Bee possesses four independently adjustable guide plates that allows ballast to be directed and discharged both between and outside the tracks (also simultaneously). In addition to efficiency and safety, our ballast bee enables ballast to discharged with the least possible noise thanks to rubber linings on the hoppers. We will also provide the necessary working locomotive for transport or even for the handling of logistical requirements at site if required.

Actually, for the first time, we published a sustainability report with an integrated environmental statement in accordance with EMAS - a logical next step in view of our ecological and social responsibility. It documents how we deal internally and externally with the issues that are essential to our future viability.
