Prefabricated platforms modula® light - the modular platform system

modula® light is the modular platform system from HERING, consisting of flat slabs in variable dimensions, support beams and FT individual foundations. In special cases, in-situ concrete foundations or steel beams can be used as a substructure.

modula® light: Advantages

  • Can be used for short lockout pauses and poorly accessible paving sites
  • Substructure one-piece or multi-piece
  • Platform element also available as a raised version
  • No damage due to fouling or destabilisation
  • No tripping hazards due to different settlements
  • Small superstructures can be anchored without their own foundation (wind anchorages).
  • Very few joints
  • Guiding stripes for the blind and optional danger zone hatching integrated at the factory as tile or die casting
  • Very fast installation with small lifting gear (two-way excavator) and, thus, minimal impact on railway operations
  • Different substructures possible
  • Reduced extent of construction site logistics by reducing the use of bulk materials, individual building materials and small materials

modula® light - the system:

Due to the small elements with a maximum weight of 4.0 tonnes, modula® light can be installed with small lifting equipment, such as two-way or mobile excavators. Furthermore, existing platforms can be raised or renovated with modula® light elements in a very short time. The use as a platform bridge is also possible by mounting the elements on steel girder constructions, for example.

We are of course on hand to support you in the planning of your system platform projects. To achieve a project-related solution that is both economical and functional, we can provide you with planning aids such as sample plans and Revit component families in our digital planning catalogue.

HERING sustainability

At HERING, we see ourselves as pioneers in the field of sustainability. As early as 1996, we were the first construction company in Germany to obtain EMAS certification. Every three years, we publish an environmental statement documenting our goals and how we have achieved them. Actually, for the first time, we published a sustainability report with an integrated environmental statement in accordance with EMAS - a logical next step in view of our ecological and social responsibility. It documents how we deal internally and externally with the issues that are essential to our future viability.
