HERING Bahnbau’s teams installed the ramps and elevators while HERING Systeme’s platform team was able to carry out its work during night-time shut-downs from 20 to 25 March 2023. A 210-metre-long modula® Type 1 and Type 1b platform (free-standing and backfilled) was installed during this period with the help of a rail crane from the railway-construction department’s fleet.
The work was carried out as part of the ‘Neuerung Bahnsteig 2’ (‘Platform 2 Renewal’) project – a few years after the platform team had already completed renewal work on Platform 1 opposite.
