Roofing solutions with photovoltaic modules

HERING has for years been a leader in the development and implementation of innovative roofing concepts for public spaces and Deutsche Bahn AG. We understand the unique requirements associated with cities, municipalities and public facilities and draw on our expertise to create sustainable, aesthetically pleasing and functional solutions.

Sustainability and environmental awareness stand at the heart of our work. We focus on ecological responsibility to make our cities more environmentally friendly and better places to live.

We’re naturally also pleased to offer our support in the planning of your system roof projects. We’d be happy to provide you with planning aids and in-person advice to help you realise a cost-effective and functional project-related solution.

More than just protection

Our roofing solutions with photovoltaics are pioneering in the field of renewable energy and deliver a wide range of benefits:

  • Environmentally friendly generation of power with the help of integrated photovoltaic modules.
  • Cost efficiency: Generating power with photovoltaic technologies offers long-term savings and is able to create additional revenue streams when the electricity is fed into the national grid.
  • Protection for people and the environment: Our roofs not only provide protection from the elements, they also create pleasant areas in public spaces where people will be happy to spend their time. They simultaneously help improve the quality of life and increase the value of infrastructure.
  • Different designs and material combinations possible
  • PV modules possible as roof coverings in the shape of glass-glass elements or as surface-fitted designs.

HERING sustainability

At HERING, we see ourselves as pioneers in the field of sustainability. As early as 1996, we were the first construction company in Germany to obtain EMAS certification. Every three years, we publish an environmental statement documenting our goals and how we have achieved them. Actually, for the first time, we published a sustainability report with an integrated environmental statement in accordance with EMAS - a logical next step in view of our ecological and social responsibility. It documents how we deal internally and externally with the issues that are essential to our future viability.
