We take a holistic view of sustainability – from the planning and building to the running and upcycling of our WC facilities. Sustainable cycles are very important to us and we therefore employ materials and product components in such a way that they deliver benefits over a long time and that they may be reused in future processes. That also includes the responsible utilisation of resources, making sanitation buildings last and making using them again possible.
Our WC facilities are characterised above all by the fact that they last up to 45 years. Such durability is achieved through the use of concrete for load-bearing structures; concrete allows service lives to be extended by up to three times over other building materials. We also score sustainability points when it comes to running the WC facilities: Detergents that are 100% biodegradable, the reduction of plastic waste by up to 70% thanks to the use of detergent concentrates as well as special coatings, such as our ‘easy-to-clean coating’, to name but a few of our innovations.
We’ll also take ageing WC facilities back into stock. They’ll then for the most part be refurbished, converted or technically upgraded, i.e. returned to use and thus to the cycle. The recycling rate here is 95%.
Sustainability plays a major role in the planning, building and running of WC facilities. Whether it’s a green roof, solar panels, water-saving engineering or the recycling of old WC systems – HERING Sanikonzept has much to offer where sustainability is concerned.
