IDEFIX: Welcome to the team!

We at HERING Bahnbau received our new 150-ton KIROW KRC1200 crane unit, lovingly called IDEFIX, at the beginning of December 2022.

Colleagues in the workshop and our crane teams received extensive training, learning how to properly operate and maintain IDEFIX. The official baptism was held on 02 December 2022.

Why Idefix?
He is the leader of the Indomitables. While he may be small, he is also brave and clever. He always has the right idea when there’s a problem. However, he doesn’t like being called “little”.

IDEFIX is now travelling Germany’s rail network, currently on HERING’s construction sites in Neu-Isenburg and Niederrad. Here he actively supports track construction efforts.

We are very happy with our powerful new member of the crane family!
