The foundation work was initially carried out using a loading crane on behalf of Tegernsee-Bahn Betriebsgesellschaft mbH as the principal and PORR Germany as the general contractor on 18 and 19 July 2018. The platform elements were delivered by truck and then installed using a 130-tonne crane on 1 and 2 August 2018. The mobile crane was positioned on the premises of the secondary school and was deployed while rail operations were temporarily halted.
The track radius for this construction project was very small so the platform slabs were formed and concreted in the shape of a trapezoid.
